Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.
Isaac Asimov This memorial website was created to remember The Best Wife, Mom, Second Mom, Maime, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Best Friend & Confidant - Karen B. Williams who was born in Oakland, California on March 28, 1949 and passed away the morning of March 9, 2009. She will live forever in our memories and hearts.
Our Mom never let anyone see just how much pain she endured. Even in the end our mom fought her monster (The Cancer) never giving up hope. She always had a Smile on her face and she always saw the good in people.
She would think freely, smiled often, told those she loved that she loved them, she rediscovered old friends, made new ones, had hope, grew, gave in sometimes, picked daisies, shared them, kept her promises, laughed heartily, laughed often, would reached out to someone, she would let someone in, hugged children, hugged them tight, slowed down, saw a sunrise, listened to the rain, just listened, trusted life, had faith, enjoyed the small things, and then let go.
Our mom loved this quote:
Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow for babies grow up we have learned from our sorrows. So settle down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, I’m rocking my baby because baby’s do not keep.
